Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon 5 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 lemon slices, to serve

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula
  • Serving plate

Method

  1. Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the oil and spices adhere better. Place the fillets in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, dried oregano, and salt. Mix well until it forms a paste.
  3. Rub the spice mixture generously over each salmon fillet, ensuring they are well coated on all sides.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This ensures even cooking from the start.
  5. Arrange the seasoned salmon fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  6. Cook the salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Serve with lemon slices on the side for an added burst of flavor. Enjoy your perfectly cooked 10-Minute Air Fryer Salmon!

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try a honey garlic glaze instead of the spice mixture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer for best texture.
