  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/3 cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 pinches ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Equipment

  • Spatula
  • Plate

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, grated onion, beaten egg, whole-wheat breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, black pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, aiming for about 4 to 6 patties.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the patties in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Remove the patties from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Store cooked patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze patties in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes before serving.
