Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds salmon (skin on or off, as preferred)
  • 0.25 cup salted butter (melted)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 0.75 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup grated parmesan cheese (freshly grated)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure your salmon cooks perfectly.
  2. Step 2: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down and pat it dry. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese. Mix until crumbly.
  4. Step 4: Evenly spread the garlic mixture over the top of the salmon using a pastry brush.
  5. Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Step 6: Let it rest for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Use wild-caught salmon for the best flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Substitute breadcrumbs with plain ones and add herbs if needed.
