  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar

  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 4 medium ripe bananas, sliced
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
For the Topping:
  • ½ cup self-rising flour
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup uncooked regular oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Method
 

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so that it’s ready to bake your delicious creation.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of self-rising flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of milk. Whisk these ingredients together until smooth, and then stir in the melted butter.
  3. Step 3: Fold in the sliced bananas gently, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Step 4: Pour the banana mixture into your greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Step 5: In another bowl, mix together ½ cup of packed brown sugar, ½ cup of self-rising flour, softened butter, oats, cinnamon, and chopped pecans. Combine until crumbly.
  6. Step 6: Spread the oat topping evenly over the banana batter in the baking dish.
  7. Step 7: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Step 8: Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. It’s delicious warm or at room temperature!
