  • 1 piece jalapeño sliced
  • 1/4 cup cotija cheese crumbled

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Brisket - Season your beef brisket generously with salt, pepper, and any other spices you like.
  2. Step 2: Slow Cook the Brisket - Place the seasoned brisket in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until fork-tender.
  3. Step 3: Shred the Beef - Remove the brisket from the slow cooker, let it rest, and then shred into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Step 4: Warm the Tortillas - Warm tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
  5. Step 5: Assemble the Tacos - Start with a warm tortilla, add shredded brisket, and top with red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and cotija cheese.
  6. Step 6: Serve and Enjoy! - Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the brisket reaches about 195°F.
  • Let the brisket rest before shredding for juicier meat.
  • Consider adding avocado or radishes for more topping options.
