Ingredients

For the Wings:
  • 1 pound chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
For the Sauce:
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • ½ cup honey barbecue sauce

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Large Skillet or Fryer
  • Tongs
  • Paper towels
  • Serving platter

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken breast pieces and ¾ cup of buttermilk. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, granulated sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator, coat each piece in the flour mixture, and shake off excess flour.
  5. Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a plate lined with paper towels. Toss the fried chicken with your choice of sauce.
  7. Transfer the sauced boneless chicken wings to a serving platter and enjoy!
