Ingredients

For the Salmon:
  • 1 to 2 pounds Salmon cut into individual filets
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Aluminum foil
  • Measuring spoons
  • Fish spatula

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat your broiler to high. Make sure the oven rack is about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Step 2: Line the Baking Sheet
Cover your baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. This will also help to prevent the salmon from sticking.
  3. Step 3: Prepare the Salmon
Place the salmon filets on the lined baking sheet, skin side down. Drizzle the avocado oil over the filets, and use a brush or your fingers to ensure even coverage.
  4. Step 4: Season the Salmon
Sprinkle the sea salt, garlic powder, and paprika evenly over the salmon. You can adjust the seasonings based on your personal preference.
  5. Step 5: Broil the Salmon
Place the baking sheet under the broiler. Broil the salmon for about 6-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the filets. The salmon should be opaque and easily flake with a fork when done.
  6. Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve it warm, garnished with fresh herbs or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Always preheat your broiler for the best results.
  • Watch the salmon closely to avoid overcooking.
  • Feel free to experiment with different spices and herbs.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently to prevent dryness.
