Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
- Step 2: Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Step 4: Cream the softened butter with the dry mixture until crumbly.
- Step 5: Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Step 6: Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the pan for the crust.
- Step 7: Spread salted caramel sauce evenly over the crust.
- Step 8: Sprinkle remaining oat mixture over caramel and press down gently.
- Step 9: Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Step 10: Cool completely in the pan, lift out using parchment, and slice into squares.
