Ingredients
  

For the Bars:
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 3/4 cups Quick-Cooking Oats
  • 1 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/4 cups Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups Salted Caramel Sauce
  • additional flour Additional Flour to thicken the caramel sauce

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  2. Step 2: Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Step 4: Cream the softened butter with the dry mixture until crumbly.
  5. Step 5: Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  6. Step 6: Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the pan for the crust.
  7. Step 7: Spread salted caramel sauce evenly over the crust.
  8. Step 8: Sprinkle remaining oat mixture over caramel and press down gently.
  9. Step 9: Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Step 10: Cool completely in the pan, lift out using parchment, and slice into squares.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • For longer storage, refrigerate for up to two weeks.
  • Microwave for 10-15 seconds for a warm treat.
