Ingredients

  • 20 pieces homemade yeast roll dough or raw frozen and thawed yeast dough balls
  • 10 slices Land O Lakes White Deli American cheese
  • 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Salted Butter melted
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • 9x5-inch loaf pan
  • Pastry brush
  • Knife or pizza cutter

Method

  1. Begin by gathering your yeast roll dough. If you’re using homemade dough, ensure it has risen properly. For frozen dough, allow it to thaw according to package instructions.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's nice and hot when your bread is ready to bake.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted Land O Lakes Butter, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined, creating a savory garlic butter mixture.
  4. Take each dough ball and flatten it slightly. Place a slice of Land O Lakes White Deli American cheese in the center of each ball, then fold the dough over the cheese and roll it back into a ball.
  5. Using a pastry brush, generously coat each cheese-filled dough ball with the garlic butter mixture. Make sure to get a good amount on each one for maximum flavor.
  6. Arrange the coated dough balls in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. You can stack them in rows or haphazardly; either way, they’ll rise beautifully together.
  7. Place the loaf pan in your preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Once baked, remove the Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. This will make it easier to pull apart without burning your fingers. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, garlicky goodness!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in fresh herbs like parsley or basil into the garlic butter.
  • You can also include cooked bacon bits or sautéed mushrooms for a heartier option.
  • If you prefer a bit of heat, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
