Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg white beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

  4. Step 4: Whisk together the baking powder, salt, and flour in a separate bowl, then add to the wet ingredients.
