Ingredients
  

  • 1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans drained
  • 1 cup peanut butter crunchy or creamy
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • chocolate syrup and mini chocolate chips for garnish

  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Start by draining and rinsing the garbanzo beans under cold water.
  2. In a food processor, combine the drained garbanzo beans, peanut butter, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and vanilla. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. If the hummus is too thick, add a tablespoon of water or more maple syrup to adjust consistency.
  4. Taste the hummus and add more maple syrup if desired.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with chocolate syrup and mini chocolate chips, and serve with fruits or snacks.

Notes

  • This hummus is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for up to one week.
  • Substitute peanut butter with almond butter for a different flavor.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance flavors.
