Cold Brew Coffee in Steps
- Step 1: Combine Coffee and Water - In a large jar or pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee with the filtered water. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.
- Step 2: Steep - Cover the jar or pitcher and let it steep at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor will be.
- Step 3: Strain - After steeping, strain the coffee using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the coffee grounds. You can do this in batches if needed.
- Step 4: Serve - Once strained, your cold brew concentrate is ready to enjoy! You can dilute it with water or milk to taste, depending on your preference.
- Step 5: Store - Store the cold brew coffee in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Notes
- For a flavored twist, add seasonal syrups or fruits.
- Cold brew coffee can be served black or with milk for a creamier texture.
- Store in a tightly sealed container to maintain freshness.
