Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken breasts boneless and skinless – sliced or whole, depending on preference
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced – cremini or button mushrooms work beautifully
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil to sauté chicken and mushrooms

Method
 

Prepare Your Ingredients
  1. Begin by slicing the chicken breasts into even pieces if you prefer bite-sized servings, or keep them whole for a classic presentation. Clean and slice the mushrooms. Mince the garlic finely to release maximum flavor in the sauce.
Sauté the Chicken
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts, seasoning both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Mushrooms and Garlic
  1. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms. Sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and start to brown. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Create the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
  1. Lower the heat to medium and slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the mushrooms and garlic. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir gently until melted and the sauce thickens slightly. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Combine Chicken and Sauce
  1. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy mushroom sauce over the top. Simmer together for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the chicken to reheat.
Garnish and Serve
