Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the avocado oil mayonnaise, lemon or lime zest, minced garlic, ground turmeric, ground ginger, dried basil (if using), and sea salt. Use a whisk or spatula to mix until smooth and well-combined.
- Place the sockeye salmon fillet skin-side down in a baking dish. Ensure the fish is dry and free of any excess moisture.
- Spread the creamy turmeric ginger sauce generously over the top of the salmon, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve it warm, garnished with additional lemon or lime wedges.
Notes
- Always use fresh, high-quality salmon for the best flavor.
- Monitor the cooking time closely to avoid overcooking.
- Pat the salmon dry before applying the sauce for better browning.
