Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar plus 1 tablespoon
  • 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar packed
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • a pinch Cinnamon
  • 2 2/3 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 3/4 cups Chopped Walnuts

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Step 3: Add eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to the mixture; beat until fully incorporated.
  4. Step 4: In another bowl, whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Step 5: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. Step 7: Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Step 8: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Step 9: Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
