  • 3 Tbsp butter melted
  • 1.5 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to season to taste
  • 1/8 tsp sugar to balance acidity

  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

Instructions
  1. 1. Start by ensuring your shrimp are peeled and deveined. If using frozen shrimp, thaw under cold running water or overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  3. 3. In a large skillet, heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. 4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until pink and opaque. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to medium and pour the garlic butter sauce over the shrimp. Stir gently to coat and simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
  6. 6. Remove from heat and sprinkle the minced parsley over the shrimp. Toss gently to combine.
  7. 7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
