Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, packed light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the oat granola, old-fashioned oats, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and dried cherries until well combined.
Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
