Ingredients

  • 4 ounces light or reduced-fat cream cheese at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup vanilla nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons powdered sugar (or more to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • Fresh fruit (such as strawberries, apples, bananas, and grapes) for dipping

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving bowl
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing, and have your fruit and pretzels ready for dipping.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the light cream cheese and vanilla nonfat Greek yogurt. Using an electric mixer or whisk, blend them together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Next, add the unsweetened cocoa powder to the mixture. Continue to beat until the cocoa is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the mixture, tasting as you go. Adjust the sweetness level to your preference by adding more or less sugar.
  5. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and arrange your fresh fruit and pretzels around it. Dive right in and enjoy the delightful combination of flavors and textures!

Notes

  • Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • If the dip thickens, stir in a splash of milk or yogurt to loosen it.
  • This dip is best enjoyed chilled; give it a good stir before serving.
