Equipment

Method

Cooking Healthy Chicken Salad Sliders: The Process
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. If you're using rotisserie chicken, shred and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Next, cube the Granny Smith apples and halve the grapes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cubed apples, halved grapes, slivered almonds, and dried cranberries. Sprinkle in the garlic salt, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Spoon in the plain Greek yogurt and mix everything together until the ingredients are well-coated.
  4. Slice your whole wheat or pretzel buns in half. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken salad mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
  5. Arrange the sliders on a serving platter and enjoy them right away!

Notes

  • For a nut-free option, omit the slivered almonds or substitute with sunflower seeds.
  • To reduce carbs, serve the chicken salad in lettuce wraps instead of buns.
  • For a vegan option, use shredded jackfruit instead of chicken and plant-based yogurt instead of Greek yogurt.
