  • 2 cups broccoli florets fresh for crunch
  • 1 cup hoisin sauce provides sweet and tangy flavor

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Begin by cutting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces. Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and set them aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in the hoisin sauce, stirring to coat the chicken and broccoli evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to warm up and thicken slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and serve the Hoisin Chicken hot, either on its own or over a bed of rice, noodles, or quinoa. Enjoy your meal!

Notes

  • Feel free to swap broccoli for other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
  • Add sriracha for a spicy kick!
