Start by making your homemade pizza dough. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Gradually add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
While your dough is rising, preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you're using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
Once your dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it out to your desired thickness, typically about ¼ inch thick.
Transfer your rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over the surface of the dough, spreading it evenly. Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese across the pizza, followed by the slices of mozzarella. Finally, sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese generously over the top.
Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Once your pizza is out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes. Use a pizza cutter to slice it into wedges. Serve hot and enjoy the melty, cheesy goodness!
