  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Spatula or wooden spoon

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Instant Pot - Begin by ensuring your Instant Pot is clean and ready for use. Set it on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Step 2: Add Coconut Oil - Pour 2 tablespoons of coconut oil into the Instant Pot's inner pot. Select the “Sauté” function and allow the oil to heat up for a couple of minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add the Kernels - Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add ½ cup of popcorn kernels to the pot. Stir them gently to coat each kernel with oil.
  4. Step 4: Cover and Cook - Secure the lid on your Instant Pot and seal the vent. Select the “Manual” function and set the timer for 3-4 minutes. Listen closely as the kernels begin to pop!
  5. Step 5: Release the Pressure - When the popping slows down, carefully switch the vent to “Venting” to release any remaining pressure. This step is crucial to avoid soggy popcorn.
  6. Step 6: Season and Serve - Once the pressure is released, remove the lid and transfer the popcorn to a large bowl. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of finely ground sea salt or any other seasonings you desire. Toss well to combine.

Notes

  • Store popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature to keep it fresh.
  • Allow popcorn to cool completely before sealing to prevent moisture buildup.
  • Consume within a week for the best flavor and texture.
