Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter For that rich, buttery flavor.
  • 10 ounce mini marshmallows This will create the chewy base.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a hint of warmth and sweetness.
  • 6 cups Lucky Charms Cereal The star ingredient, full of whimsical marshmallows!

Equipment

  • Large saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Baking Dish - Start by lining a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Leave some overhang to easily lift out the treats later. A light spray of non-stick cooking spray can also help.
  2. Step 2: Melt the Butter - In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the 4 tablespoons of salted butter. Stir it gently until it’s completely melted and starts to foam.
  3. Step 3: Add the Marshmallows - Once the butter is melted, add the entire 10-ounce bag of mini marshmallows. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and combined with the butter, creating a smooth mixture.
  4. Step 4: Add Vanilla Extract - Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. This will enhance the flavor of your Lucky Charms Treats.
  5. Step 5: Mix in the Cereal - Carefully fold in 6 cups of Lucky Charms Cereal. Use a spatula to ensure every piece of cereal is coated in the marshmallow mixture. Be gentle to avoid crushing the cereal too much.
  6. Step 6: Transfer to the Baking Dish - Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly and press it down firmly to create a compact layer.
  7. Step 7: Cool and Cut - Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Once set, lift the treats out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles, and enjoy your Lucky Charms Treats!

Notes

  • For a gourmet twist, try drizzling melted chocolate over the top once set.
  • These treats are perfect for parties, school functions, or just as a sweet surprise for your family.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of marshmallows for a gooier treat or less for a firmer texture.
