Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup oat flour blend regular oats until fine
  • 1/4 cup Rice Krispies cereal
  • 3/4 cup optional additions like slivered almonds, dried cranberries, or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Gather your ingredients, measuring them out to ensure a smooth process.
  2. Prepare oat flour by blending regular oats until they reach a fine powder consistency.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  4. Add old-fashioned oats, oat flour, and Rice Krispies to the wet mixture. Stir until evenly coated.
  5. Fold in your optional additions until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a 9x9-inch baking dish and press it down firmly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set.
  8. Once set, cut into desired shapes and sizes. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Experiment with different nut butters for unique flavors.
  • Toast oats and Rice Krispies for added crunch.
