Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup fresh berries (optional)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar or Container
  • Spoon

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the old-fashioned rolled oats, chia seeds, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add the water, honey, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
  3. Fold in the plain yogurt and peanut butter, mixing them thoroughly into the oat mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into a jar or airtight container, ensuring there’s enough room for it to expand as the oats soak up the water.
  5. Seal the jar or container and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the oats to soak overnight, or for at least 4 hours if you’re in a hurry.
  6. In the morning, give your oats a good stir. Top with fresh berries or any other toppings of your choice.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, swap honey for maple syrup.
  • Add nuts or seeds for extra crunch and healthy fats.
  • Use almond or coconut milk instead of water for a creamier texture.
