Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:
  • 1 pound chicken tenders About 8-10 large tenders or cut from chicken breast
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour For dredging
  • to taste salt For seasoning
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper For seasoning
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs For coating
  • cup white sesame seeds Adds nutty flavor
  • 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds For contrast
  • as needed vegetable oil For cooking
For the Dipping Sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise Base for the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic Very finely minced or grated
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice From 1-2 limes
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce For umami flavor
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Enhances flavor
  • as needed water To adjust sauce consistency

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Begin by patting the chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour with salt and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg until well combined.
  4. In a third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, white sesame seeds, and black sesame seeds.
  5. Dredge each chicken tender in the flour, dip in the egg, and coat with the panko-sesame mixture.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the tenders for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Transfer the cooked tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic, lime juice, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and water to make the dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For gluten-free, substitute with gluten-free flour and panko.
  • Adjust the spice level of the dipping sauce to your taste.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying for even cooking.
  • Ensure the oil is hot before adding chicken to maintain crispiness.
