Ingredients
  

  • 1 very ripe banana mashed
  • 1 3/4 cup rolled oats regular or gluten-free
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 tsp chia seeds optional
  • 1/3 cup ground flaxmeal
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey, sweeten to taste
  • 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • Fork or potato masher

  • Refrigerator

Method
 

  1. Mash the banana in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Add oats, peanut butter, chia seeds, flaxmeal, vanilla, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt to the mashed banana.
  3. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is sticky and holds together.
  4. Form about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into a ball. Repeat until all mixture is shaped into balls.
  5. Chill the balls on a baking sheet for at least 30 minutes to set.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Freeze for longer storage, up to 3 months.
  • These are great served cold or at room temperature.
