  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Must-have for rich umami flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced for freshness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances all the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper Adds a bit of spice.
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes For those who like a little heat.
  • 1/3 cup Alfredo sauce Creamy sauce serves as a delicious base.
  • 1 cup mushrooms thinly sliced for earthiness.
  • 1/2 large red onion thinly sliced for sweetness and crunch.
  • 1 small green pepper thinly sliced for color and flavor.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese For melty, gooey goodness.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 1 recipe Perfect Homemade Pizza Crust or store-bought A solid base for your toppings.

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting Board and Knife
  • Pizza Stone or Baking Sheet
  • Spatula
  • Mixing bowl

Method

  1. Start by placing your thinly sliced steak in a mixing bowl. Add the Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss everything together until the steak is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you’re using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up as well.
  3. While the steak marinates, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil, then toss in the sliced mushrooms, red onion, and green pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
  4. In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and turn the heat up to medium-high. Add the marinated steak and cook for about 3-5 minutes, just until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. If using homemade pizza dough, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If using store-bought, follow the package instructions. Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  6. Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly across the pizza crust, leaving a small border. Layer on the sautéed vegetables, followed by the cooked steak, then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the top.
  7. Carefully place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden, and the crust is crispy.
  8. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes, then slice into wedges and serve hot. Garnish with fresh herbs or extra red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Slice the steak against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  • Don’t skip the marinating step; it significantly enhances flavor.
  • Watch the pizza closely while baking to prevent burning.
  • Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing to avoid a mess.
