  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup chives super finely chopped (about 1 small bunch fresh chives)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt plus more to taste
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Start by collecting all your ingredients on the counter. This will make the process smoother and more enjoyable.
  2. Finely chop the chives using a sharp knife on your chopping board. The smaller the pieces, the better they'll integrate into the dip, providing that fresh flavor.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of sour cream or plain Greek yogurt and 1/3 cup of mayonnaise. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. To the base mixture, add 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of fine sea salt, and 1/4 tsp of freshly ground black pepper. Mix again to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  5. Gently fold the finely chopped chives into the dip. Taste the mixture and adjust the salt if necessary, adding more if desired.
  6. For the best flavor experience, cover the ranch dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
