Method
 

Baking Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the peanut butter, then add the egg yolk and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Scoop the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
