Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups high-quality white chocolate, grated Look for brands that use natural ingredients for the best flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons cooking grade matcha green tea powder Ensure it’s of high quality to enhance both taste and color.
  • 0.25 cups crushed pistachios Provides a lovely crunch and nutty flavor.
  • 0.25 cups sliced almonds Adds a different texture and more healthy fats.
  • 0.25 cups goji berries These superberries are rich in antioxidants and add a sweet tang.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried apricots For a chewy texture and fruity flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons dried wild blueberries A great source of vitamins and adds a pop of color.
  • 0.25 cups chia seeds Packed with omega-3s, these tiny seeds offer a nutritional boost.

Equipment

  • Double boiler or microwave-safe bowl
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife or food processor

Method

  1. Start by measuring out all your ingredients. This ensures that you have everything ready to go when it’s time to melt the chocolate.
  2. Using a double boiler or a microwave, gently melt your grated white chocolate. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted, sift in the matcha green tea powder. Stir well until the matcha is fully incorporated, and the mixture is a vibrant green.
  4. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the matcha-infused chocolate onto the sheet and use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, about ¼ inch thick.
  5. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the crushed pistachios, sliced almonds, goji berries, chopped dried apricots, dried wild blueberries, and chia seeds evenly across the surface. Gently press them into the chocolate so they adhere well.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate is fully set and firm to the touch.
  7. Once hardened, remove the bark from the refrigerator. Break it into pieces and enjoy your delicious Superfood Matcha Green Tea Chocolate Bark!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • For longer storage, freeze it with parchment paper between pieces to prevent sticking.
  • Customize with seasonal ingredients like lemon zest in spring or toasted coconut in summer.
