Cooking Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature is crucial for getting those wings nice and crispy.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Toss them well to ensure they are evenly coated.
- Step 3: Place a wire rack on top of a baking sheet. Lay the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the rack.
- Step 4: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Step 5: While the wings are baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a mixing bowl, combine the buffalo sauce, whipped cream cheese, and 1 cup of Lighthouse Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Step 6: Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and carefully toss them in the buffalo sauce mixture until well coated.
- Step 7: Sprinkle the shredded provolone and crumbled blue cheese over the sauced wings. Return the wings to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Step 8: Remove the wings from the oven, allow them to cool for a few minutes, and serve with additional blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure wings are thoroughly dried before seasoning for maximum crispiness.
- Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; bake in batches if necessary.
- Use a wire rack for airflow to prevent sogginess.
- Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer for safety.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
