  • 2 pounds chicken wings Fresh or frozen, fully thawed if frozen
  • 2 teaspoons salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper Freshly cracked black
  • 1 cup Lighthouse Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing For dipping
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce Choose your favorite brand
  • 1 cup whipped cream cheese Adds creaminess to the sauce
  • 1 cup provolone shredded
  • ½ cup blue cheese crumbled

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Mixing bowl
  • Meat thermometer
  • Brush
  • Serving platter

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature is crucial for getting those wings nice and crispy.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Toss them well to ensure they are evenly coated.
  3. Step 3: Place a wire rack on top of a baking sheet. Lay the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the rack.
  4. Step 4: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Step 5: While the wings are baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a mixing bowl, combine the buffalo sauce, whipped cream cheese, and 1 cup of Lighthouse Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  6. Step 6: Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and carefully toss them in the buffalo sauce mixture until well coated.
  7. Step 7: Sprinkle the shredded provolone and crumbled blue cheese over the sauced wings. Return the wings to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Step 8: Remove the wings from the oven, allow them to cool for a few minutes, and serve with additional blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure wings are thoroughly dried before seasoning for maximum crispiness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; bake in batches if necessary.
  • Use a wire rack for airflow to prevent sogginess.
  • Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer for safety.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
