Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices bread
  • Ground cinnamon (to taste)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)
  • Whipped cream (for serving)
  • Fresh berries (for serving)

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup whole milk, 4 large eggs, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Sprinkle in ground cinnamon to taste. Whisk again to incorporate the cinnamon fully into the mixture.
  3. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle maker and place the soaked bread slices in it. Close the lid and cook for about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the Waffled French Toast from the waffle maker and serve immediately topped with maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh berries.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the custard mixture.
  • Use brioche or challah bread for a richer taste.
  • If storing, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
