Ingredients

For the Fudge:
  • 8 oz white chocolate divided
  • 1/2 cup butter divided
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 6.8 oz instant white chocolate pudding mix (2 packages of 3.4 oz)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 21 oz cherry pie filling (1 can - optional but recommended)

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • 9x9 inch baking dish
  • Parchment paper

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Baking Dish - Line your 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
  2. Step 2: Melt Chocolate and Butter - In a medium saucepan, combine 4 oz of the white chocolate and 1/4 cup of the butter over low heat. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  3. Step 3: Mix Pudding and Sugar - In a mixing bowl, combine the instant white chocolate pudding mix and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Step 4: Combine Mixtures - Gradually add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the dry ingredients. Pour in 1/3 cup of water and stir until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Add Cherry Pie Filling - Gently fold in the cherry pie filling, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the fudge mixture.
  6. Step 6: Pour and Set - Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 4 oz of white chocolate on top if desired.
  7. Step 7: Chill - Refrigerate the fudge for at least 3 hours or until fully set.

Notes

  • Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • You can freeze the fudge for up to three months, wrapped tightly.
  • Allow the fudge to come to room temperature before serving for the best flavor.
