Instructions
- Start by washing your fresh berries thoroughly. Slice the strawberries into small pieces and set them aside. If you're using larger berries, such as blackberries, you can leave them whole or cut them in half for easier layering.
- In your glass cups or jars, spoon in a generous layer of vanilla yogurt at the bottom. Aim for about 1/3 of a cup to start. This will be the base of your parfait.
- Next, add a layer of the diced strawberries and a mix of the other fresh berries on top of the yogurt. Feel free to be creative with your layering—aim for a colorful mix!
- Now it’s time to add the granola. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup over the berries. This will not only provide texture but also a satisfying crunch.
- Repeat the layering process by adding another layer of yogurt, followed by more berries and granola. You can usually get two or three layers, depending on the size of your container.
- If you like your parfait a bit sweeter, drizzle some honey or pure maple syrup on top. This step is entirely optional, especially if you’re using sweet yogurt.
- Enjoy your yogurt parfait immediately for the best texture, or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours if you prefer it chilled. Just be aware that the granola may soften a bit if it sits too long.
Notes
- Prep your parfait ingredients the night before for a quick breakfast.
- Keep granola separate until serving to preserve crunchiness.
- Frozen berries can be used; just thaw and drain excess liquid.
